Anyone seen The Machinist?

Wow! Caught this film on Showtime last night. If you like dark, suspenseful movies, here's one to see. In addition, I cannot believe Christian Bale's weight loss to play the role of Trevor Rizner a man who hasn't slept in a year and is haunted by cryptic messages and a stranger that no one else seems to see.
It's not easy to watch, but worth it.

You should probably get in the habit of trying to read a few of the other threads here too. A few of us were just talking enthusiastically about this film in "It's June- Watcha watchin'?".

That may account for the lack of responses.

Uh-oh. Are we supposed to read all the other threads before we post here so as not to start an "extra" discussion?

I thought that was only on "That Home Site" Laundry Forum (those front-loader folks are very strict).

Katnip, I had forgotten about wanting to see The Machinist -- thanks for reminding me to add it to my list.

Now I'm off to read the "It's June ..." thread before I get my hand slapped!

No, pet

To my memory this specific forum has never been the kind of board all too common on the internet now where people yell angrily for creating multiple threads. I don't think you HAVE to read anything on this site if you don't care to. We're pretty laid back here. I was merely making a friendly suggestion about checking our monthly thread about what we're watching before you ask us if we're watching something. Otherwise, people very likely may not feel like repeat posting. Particualrly makes a lot of sense if the film is fairly new to DVD or cable.

Guess I read your response through the filter of crankiness -- I'm fighting a cold.

Glad to hear that you have a sunny disposish and that it was a friendly suggestion!

Here is a link that might be useful: It's June -- whatcha watchin' discussion
