| Sad today to hear she has passed. But her music will remain in hearts and memory. No body could put expression and feeling into a song like her. Yes, there are others'; but the song "I'd Rather Go Blind" is tops.

| Hello ladyrose - Never came to this forum till tonight. Just looked in to see what it's like, and found your post. Not being a very big music fan, I know little about any genre of music; but even I know who Etta James was. I saw quite a few items about her the day her death was announced -- on BBC-America News, and PBS Newshour. If you visit their websites, you can probably watch those segments. They rarely spend time on celebrities; so it was pretty evident that the music world lost a giant. Etta James - R.I.P. |
