Manny, there are soooo many really good songs out there &
there isn't a prayer in the world of hearing them. When
rj printed his list it sent me dashing thru my collection.
I wish I could get a job at Rhino putting together compilations. I would really like to hear "Wild In The
Streets" again. That was the one I didn't have, though I
do have it by Garland Jeffries, the fellow that wrote it.

Here is a link that might be useful: Super Sessions

 o
RE: Tonights Playlist

Too bad you can't make it, but Super Session is a good
disc to pick. Albert's Shuffle, Stop, Really, Blues For
Nothing, Fat Grey Cloud and end it up with Harvey's Tune.
Next weekend we've got Blues On The Fox, another great
festival. It's a smaller scale but no less interesting,
and in the recent past has had a much better (to me) line-up. I'll be seeing Mavis Staples (a local resident) and the
Fabulous Thunderbirds among others.

Point of interest (to some?). I was a mere teenager when
Michael Bloomfield was still around Chicago, but managed
to see him play twice. I was second row center when Mike,
Paul Butterfield and Muddy Waters were recording the
concert portion of Muddy's "Fathers and Sons" album in 1969.
My favorite all-time concert and favorite Muddy record.
