Gabriel Garcia Marquez, RIP

The Nobel Laureate, known for magical realism, died yesterday April 17 in Mexico City at the age of 87. He was probably the most widely read Spanish-language writer. One Hundred Years of Solitude was his masterpiece, but to many readers a tad difficult. Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Love in the Time of Cholera are more accessible.
